Verify that the Host Server address is correct as well as the Host Username and Password. This information will need to be obtained by your employer or your employer’s IT Department. If you connect through a router, there may be settings that are not configured properly to support a VPN connection.

We primarily provide Ravon service in the United States; however, we may be able to provide service even if you are outside of the country. Please contact us to confirm availability in your area.

Fax can work over Ravon VoIP services; however, it might not perform as well as a traditional fax line would. This is due to differences in data transmission between analog and digital.

Ravon uses your internet connection to transmit your phone calls. This means we can achieve cost savings over traditional phone service and provide a greater set of features at the same time.

Voice Over Internet Protocol is a technology that enables voice communications using the internet. VoIP provides an alternative to traditional telephone networks, which use a fixed electrical path.

Router Ethernet (WAN (Modem/Internet) and LAN) ports have a link type of 10/100 Mbps and 10/100/1000 Mbps. Routers with 10/100 Mbps will not receive or distribute speeds higher than 100 Mbps, whereas routers with 10/100/1000 Mbps will receive/distribute speeds up to 1000 Mbps. You will see these specifications on the manufacturers box for any router. We recommend that you confirm the Ethernet port specs instead of going off the AC1000+ specifications. Sometimes the AC wireless specification can be misleading and the router will only support 10/100 Mbps Ethernet link capacity.

Your alarm system might not be compatible with VoIP. The best thing to do would be to contact your alarm provider, and ask if they have any equipment that will allow their service to work with a VoIP service. Most traditional providers offer an Alarm Only line for roughly $10 a month.

Yes! Simply forward your calls to your mobile device and stay in touch wherever you are.

USI’s feature-rich phone service is available for only $20 per month, plus tax and applicable fees. The price includes all the equipment required, one free local telephone number (or free porting of your current number), one phone line, and popular features like call waiting and voicemail.

It is likely there is a conflict in your wireless router’s auto configuration (DHCP). Power cycling your router for 20-30 seconds should resolve this. If power cycling your wireless router does not resolve the issue, there is likely an issue with the Ethernet cable running from the internet source to the router, and a new Ethernet cable will need to be installed to replace the suspected faulty cable. If there is still an issue, it is recommended that you call into our technical support staff at 952-253-3278.

A fiber internet connection, sometimes referred to as FTTH, FTTP, or FTTX, is the use of fiber optic cabling to send and receive internet signals between USI and your home by using light. This allows your internet connection to literally travel at the speed of light and provides an unbelievably reliable connection with a nearly unlimited capacity for future growth!

Customers are required to provide their own security software. There are free options—such as AVG, Avast, Malwarebytes and Spybot—and commercial malware and spyware software are also available. Note: The above security programs are not supported by U.S. Internet.

Ravon residential service is available throughout the United States.

Yes. Although, port forwarding from a router to the game console may be necessary if the NAT option in your router isn’t working properly.

Since we don’t have contracts, you can change your speed at any time! To change your speed package, you will need to contact Customer Care at 952-253-3278 or your sales representative.

Absolutely! We recommend you get a Dual-Band, Gigabit capable router. It’s also a good idea (though not necessary for the lower speeds) to get one that is Gigabit-capable over WiFi. To see if your router is Gigabit capable, just check the specifications on the manufacturers box and look to see if the Router Ethernet port has a link type of 10/100/1000 Mbps.

All you need is a router. Make sure that your router is a Gigabit-capable router to ensure that you are receiving our fast speeds. To keep it simple, you can choose our wireless experience for $10/month or you can purchase your own. To see if your router is Gigabit capable, just check the specifications on the manufacturers box and look to see if the Router Ethernet port has a link type of 10/100/1000 Mbps.

Our favorite combination at USI is a Roku device paired with YouTube TV. Roku allows you to stream from your TV (if you have a newer TV, Roku may already be built in) while YouTube TV allows you to be able to stream your favorite shows—including local news, sports and weather.
